I welcome the opportunity to have Teaching Ted appear in your publication, such as a union newsletter or a building-wide flyer – or even something bigger. I’d ask you to observe a few things if you want to republish one or more Teaching Ted strips in print somewhere.
For free distribution to fewer than 1,000 people, just go ahead and copy the image and pop it into your publication. I just ask:
- That you leave it as it was originally published (don’t alter the text or remove the title, copyright information or url at the bottom).
- That you don’t go crazy! I don’t mind if you want to use 1 or 2 strips in your next union newsletter (in fact, I appreciate the exposure to a wider audience), but please don’t set aside 2 pages to print every strip I’ve done for the last few weeks…
- That you contact me directly if you need a better quality image. The images on the web site are meant to load quickly, and may not look very good in print. I will gladly e-mail you better quality images for print if you need them. Just let me know which day/title strip(s) you need.
For distribution in a publication you charge for, or for distribution to more than 1,000 people, I ask that you contact me directly. I ask for a $10 payment per strip you want to use, and I’ll send you a high resolution image that will appear better in print. As with the first option, I ask you to keep the title, text, copyright and url information as they were originally published.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any other questions you have about Teaching Ted!
